Injuries and off-field problems would sidetrack Williams in his final year, limiting him to seven games in 2004. He recorded 21 tackles (18 solos) with three pass deflections and two forced fumbles. He also gained 249 yards with a touchdown on nine punt returns (27.7 avg.). A broken arm vs. Iowa State would sideline him for four games.
