MLB Steroid Testing Process - St. Louis Cardinals
With the recent congressional focus on steroid testing in Major League Baseball, it was interesting to see a local team was tested. The St. Louis Cardinals had seven players tested including their player representative.
The following players were tested for steroids by Major League Baseball:
- Carmen Cali
- Evan Rust
- Mike Myers
- Adam Wainwright
- Cody McKay
- Rick Ankiel
- Ray King - Player representative
Even though Wainwright and Rust had been sent down to the minor leagues they were obligated to complete the testing.
Look at this list, though. I know it's random, but there's only one regular player on that list.
It is interesting to note that the representative from baseball stood watch. As Ray King said:
They stayed in the room last year, and maybe it's different in different places, but this guy was right there. If you had stage fright, you were in trouble
