Minnesota Vikings want a new outdoor stadium
Oh man. I am a big fan of outdoor football. Huge fan of outdoor football, but the new owner of the Minnesota Vikings wants an outdoor stadium. In Minnesota.
Let's think about this for a minute.
Looking for the average weather stats for Minneapolis, Minnesota we find:
- In January and February the average temperature in under freezing
- In January and February the average snowfall is between 10 and 15 inches
- In November the average snowfall is 15 inches
- In November and December the average temperature is 35 degrees or so
Outdoor football is a thing of beauty. I love seeing it in Pittsburgh, Cleveland or even Tennessee, but Minneapolis?
Of course, they play outdoor football in Green Bay, so this might just work.
