What a weekend for sports. Football Sunday, the Astros winning the longest game in post season history and poor John Daly. As you know, John Daly played well enough to make it into a playoff with Tiger Woods at the American Express Championship.

Usually, his is a one way ticket to losersville, but Tiger looked beatable.

They had tied on the first playoff hole and made their way to second playoff hole. Tiger laid up as many expected he would, but Daly let the big dog out. He went for it and ended up in a tough spot, but made a shot onto the fringes of the green. They were so evenly matched that a few feet seperated them. Tiger went first and two putted. Daly missed on his first putt, as the ball sailed past the hole. While not a gimee, it was a makable putt.

Then it happened.

Daly missed.

The reaction was immediate to Daly's failure.

John Daly later said:

It went left. I played that putt straight and it went dead left

Egads.
