London and New York Olympics Ethics Issues
London and New York's Olympic efforts may have hit a brick wall. The two cities have promised financial incentives for the participating sports federations if they win the Olympic bid.
The cities offered money and discount cards for airfare, food and other expenses. This totaled around $10 million dollars.
Both Olympic committees say they have followed the rules, but the Olympics is going to look into it according to IOC spokeswoman Giselle Davies:
The Ethics Commission is looking into this as we speak. There are no conclusive developments but I can tell you the Ethics Commission is taking a look so we can have matters clarified.
