Chinese moving equestrian events for 2008 Summer Olympics
Interesting. In all the preparations for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China, the Chinese seem to think that they cannot handle the equestrian events properly.
Last month the Chinese 2008 Summer Olympic committee submitted a proposal to move the equestrian events over one thousand miles away to Hong Kong.
The reasons were simple: equine diseases and problems with quarantine regulations.
This has happened previously in the 1956 Summer Games in Melbourne, Australia when the equestrian events were held in Sweden. Yes, Sweden.
