Ricky Williams, former pot head, trying to come back into NFL
Realizing that life without the millions of dollars from an NFL contract can be a bummer, even with marijuana, Ricky Williams is coming back to play in the NFL. Well, he's going to try to come back.
Ricky Williams walked away from football so he could enjoy life and his drugs. Unfortunately, the Miami Dolphins didn't like him walking away with the money. The Miami Dolphins sued and a court ordered Ricky Williams to return 8.6 million dollars.
Now, Ricky wants to play football again.
Amazing what a lack of money to buy drugs can do to someone.
Since Ricky failed a drug test last year, he's had to sit out for one year before he can be reinstated. The date he can apply is July 23.
Leigh Steinberg, Ricky Williams' agent, said:
As far as we're concerned, that's the date he sent the letter. The league or the Dolphins may have a date a day or two later, but that's our date.
There was no word from the NFL or the Miami Dolphins if they'd take him back.
