NFL 2005 Mock Draft Real Results - How did the experts do?
The NFL 2005 draft was fun and as the preseason starts it's interesting to see which drafted players rise to the top. A few players haven't signed and some have washed out, but overall, it seems the draft picks are getting acclimated to the NFL.
I thought it would be funny to go back and check the performance of the pundits when it came to mock drafts. I had initially bookmarked a selection of 10 experts from around the country prior to the draft. These were their last mock draft picks. Boos go out to the places that either changed their mock draft pages or took them off the internet.
I looked at the 2005 NFL mock draft results from Don Banks of CNNSI, Dr. Z of CNNSI, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, Len Pasquarelli of ESPN, Mike of 24-7 Sports, Jarrett Bell of USA Today and Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports.
In the final tally it breaks out like this in success of choosing the right top ten players of the draft:
- Don Banks - 60%
- Dr. Z - 40%
- Jay Glazer - 70%
- Len Pasquarelli - 50%
- Mike 24-7 - 60%
- Jarrett Bell - 30%
- Charles Robinson - 20%
Jay Glazer of Fox Sports wins, while Len Pasquarelli of ESPN was a con flip. Poor Charles Robinson couldn't have been worse if he just randomly threw darts.
