NFL Predictions Week 13 2005 - Browns will trap the Jaguars

Last week I went 9-7, but that didn't hurt as much as the Bengals getting beaten. Ouch. This week there are two early games, of which one should be a blow out and the other should be very competitive.:

Week 5 Predictions (14 games): 6-8 - 42%

Week 6 Predictions (14 games): 10-4 - 71%

Week 7 Predictions (14 games): 9-5 65%

Week 8 Predictions (14 games): 11-3 - 79%

Week 9 Predictions (14 games): 11-3 - 79%

Week 10 Predictions (14 games): 6-8 - 42%

Week 11 Predictions (16 games): 9-7 - 56%

Week 12 Predictions (16 games): 13-3 - 81%

Cumulative (116 games): 75-41 - 65%

Atlanta at Carolina
Michael Vick here. Michael Vick there. Michael Vick on the ground hurt. The Panthers are going to bring Michael Vick to his knees and maybe knock him out of the game. After the Bengals/Steelers game this might be the most physical of the week. Panthers 24 - Falcons 18.

Buffalo at Miami
Yawn. Someone has to win, so I guess it's going to be Buffalo. I think Miami's defense is too beat up to handle the Bills running game. Ok, quit laughing. Seriously, the Bills defense will be able to handle the Dolphins offense without a problem. Bills 13 - Dolphins 9.

Cincinnati at Pittsburgh
One of the games of the week. The Bengals need to win to control the division, and the Steelers need to win to control the division. Big Ben is hurting, but Cincy's rush defense is a hole. Since this will be the most physical game of the week it's going to be a good one. Bengals 20 - Steelers 17.

Dallas at N.Y. Giants
An excellent NFC match up with the winner going to the playoffs. Eli's at home, but the Cowboys torched the Giants secondary last time they played. This is going to come down to which team can run the ball better. That would be the Giants. Giants 24 - Cowboys 20.

Green Bay at Chicago
Green Bay owns this series until today. The Bears will be too much for the beaten up Packers to handle. The Bears are going to rush for over 150 yards, and Brett Favre will throw two interception. Bears 17 - Packers 12.

Houston at Baltimore
I want to pick the Texans, but I can't. Love the team, but it's time for a new coach. The Ravens are nothing to get excited about, but they'll play at home with an offense that looked like it had some life in the second half against the Bengals last week. Ravens 27 - Texans 17.

Jacksonville at Cleveland
The upset special of the week. The Browns start their rookie quarterback against a Jaguars team playing in the cold for the first time this year. The Browns will be pumped for this game and Reuben Droughns will run over the Jaguars defense. Browns 21 - Jaguars 19.

Minnesota at Detroit
Tough game to predict. The Vikings are playing red hot, while the Lions seem to be falling apart. They lost their coach this week and Dre Bly called out Joey Harrington in the press. Garcia is starting, but it won't be enough against the Vikings. Vikings 32 - Lions 24.

Tampa Bay at New Orleans
The Saints have the Buccaneers number lately, but not today. The Bucs are fighting for their playoff lives and come off a tough loss to the Chicago Bears. Today the Bucs put it together and leave the Saints in the basement of the NFC South. Buccaneers 28 - Saints 17.

Tennessee at Indianapolis
People say this is a trap game. I only see that happening if the Colts suffer four injuries ... on both sides of the ball. Colts 37 - Titans 24.

Arizona at San Francisco
The yawn fest of the week, but Kurt Warner will be on fire. The 49ers have the worst pass defense on the league, so look for Warner to hit 40 attempts and throw three touchdowns. Cardinals 34 - 49ers 21.

Washington at St. Louis
Both teams need this game to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. The Rams are recharged with Ryan Fitzpatrick, while the Redskins are still wondering what happened to their season. Rams 31 - Redskins 29.

Denver at Kansas City
Tough game to call. The Broncos own the second best record in the AFC, but the Chiefs need to continue winning. I'd expect the Broncos to give up their first 100 yard rushing game in almost a year. But, I don't think the Chiefs can stop the Broncos. Broncos 24 - Chiefs 21.

N.Y. Jets at New England
I have to laugh about this game. There is no way the Jets beat the Patriots at home. Patriots 23 - Jets 17.

Oakland at San Diego
This could be the game that knocks San Diego out of the playoffs, but it won't be. The Chargers will handle the Raiders quickly and cleanly on their way to a win. Chargers 27 - Raiders 13.

Seattle at Philadelphia
This could have been the game of the year had the Eagles not suffered a sports hernia and Owens not broken his mouth. Seattle is too talented for the Eagles to handle. Seahawks 24 - Eagles 13.
