Ronaldo is one of the best soccer players in the world, but he's been dropped from the Brazilian world cup team. Ronaldo will be replaced on the roster by Grafite.

Ronaldo is a three time FIFA player of the year, which is what makes this news amazing.

This all started when Ronaldo asked for permission to miss the Confederations Cup. Since he plays full time for Real Madrid, this would be his only chance to relax during the year.

Brazil coach Carlos Alberto Parreira had told Ronaldo that fatigue was not an excuse to miss the game.

Ronaldo said:

"I was prepared to play both games. I was ready and motivated, but the Brazilian Soccer Confederation has decided and I have to respect that decision. Now I just want to rest, get away from it all and get ready for next year."
