Lockout would spell death for the NBA does it matter

Wow, let the verbal sparring begin. The NBA and the player's union find themselves in a Mexican standoff. Neither side wants to make a move, but the NBA holds the trump card in terms of a lockout.

David Stern said earlier:

If we don't have a deal by July 1, there will be a work stoppage. No question about it ... the union will have made a mistake of epic proportions.

As if not to be out done, Bill Hunter, the puppet of agents and the players' union executive director said:

...it would be a death knell for the NBA. It's almost lunacy to talk about not getting a deal. I believe if there is a lockout, it would be a protracted one.

Welcome to the wide wold of spoiled sports stars and owners.

Have these idiots not looked at the NHL? Hello?!?!?

If you think for one second that basketball fans couldn't live without the NBA, guess again. College basketball owns you and I am sure that the ESPN, TNTs and ABCs of the world will find a suitable replacement for you as they did with the NHL.
