Alex Weyand football and bodybuilding legend

Alex Weyand was not only a gridiron great, but was outstanding in several other body-building sports. "Babe" Weyand made All-American three years in a row and in 1915 was named captain of the Army team. As a Cadet he was West Point's Champion Wrestler for three years and won a place on the United States Olympic Team in 1920.

Alex received the Silver Star and Purple Heart in World War I and the Bronze Star in World War II. As a retired colonel he has written some of the most informative books ever written on sports.
