Did Morley Drury help the trojan football team

Morley Drury hailed as the "noblest Trojan of them all" established a yardage rushing record that stood for 38 years. He had no passing specialist with him to loosen up the secondary.

The defense not only "keyed" on Morley, but they went for him en masse. He tore his way through all opposition dropping would-be tackler's in their tracks as he sped toward the goal line. Southern California's Morley Drury won All-American honors in 1927. His banquet appearances since then have brought audiences to a fuller realization of the value of football in building boys into men and men into constructive, active, and worthwhile human beings.
