Between the halves of a game between one university and Colgate not long ago, the band of the visiting eleven marched out on the field, played a couple of stirring tunes, and then followed its drum major until they stood before the Colgate stand.

Then there was the usual shifting around of musicians as they prepared to spell out something for the Colgate fans. When the word was formed, however, it spelled CREST.
