Joe Lapchick Surgery
One of the greatest basketball coaches in history was Joe Lapchick. He coached college and professional basketball teams for almost four decades. Upon his retirement from coaching, he underwent surgery for a hernia. After the operation, the surgeon asked the fabulous basketball coach:
"Can you remember having been hit there years ago?" "Every tap, Doc," said Joe Lapchick sadly, "every tap."
