Bloody boxing losses for boxer
A New York boxing manager signed up a promising youngster and arranged a match for him in a small town in Pennsylvania. The boy went off to fill the engagement alone, since the manager was unable to accompany him.The next day, a despondent young man reported to his manager.
"They give the other guy the decision," he said.
"What?" howled the manager. "He should have been easy for you.
"What happened?"
"Ah, you know," muttered the boxer. "It was just one of them home town decisions."
"But you licked him, huh?" asked the manager hopefully.
"Sure," said the kid. "Why, the guy was all covered with blood when the fight was over."
"Covered with blood?" screamed the manager. "How could they give him the decision?"
"Beats me," said the kid sadly. "Except maybe they knew it was my blood! "
