Buddy Baer is the big, lumbering kid brother of the former heavyweight champion, Max Baer. Buddy came within a single punch of becoming world's champion himself, but is best known today as a movie actor and stage performer with a surprising amount of polish for a man his size. Buddy proved his newly acquired presence of mind on the stage one day when a heckler flung a question at him right in the middle of his performance.

"Hey, Buddy," the heckler yelled from the audience, "what about taxes?"

"I love Texas," replied Buddy. "Greatest state in the union!"

"No, no," shouted the heckler. "I mean dollars!"

"Oh, Dallas," said Buddy Baer. "Why, Dallas is one of the finest cities in Texas!"
