Religious buying new foregin car
Foreign-made cars have caught the fancy of the American public, and the low-slung, Continental racer is very much in demand these days. Second-hand dealers are never at a loss for words, of course, and one of them was handing a hot prospect a real line about a Jaguar car he was trying to sell him.
"This beautiful car," he said, "used to belong to my aunt, now dead, poor thing. Only used it to drive to church every Sunday. Took the best care of it."
"Only used it to go to church?" asked the prospect. "Why would she need a car that makes over a hundred miles an hour just to drive to church?'
"Oh," answered the second-hand dealer, "my aunt was so religious., she just couldn't wait to get there!"
