Who threw the least interceptions in football
Sammy Baugh stands as football's precision passer. Famous as Texas Christian University's 1936 All-American he went on to greater glory as quarterback for the Washington Redskins and ended up in Pro-Football's Hall of Fame. Baugh guided the Redskins to 3 Eastern Conference Titles and 2 World's Championships breaking every passing record of the National Football League for yardage, number and percentage of completions, passes attempted and fewest interceptions. He really gave the statisticians a workout.
If Berwanger was a "one man team" on the ground, Baugh was a "one man team" in the air. He filled the air with footballs and often completely buried his opponents with bewilderment that he could and would dare to throw under any down or field situation. He switched from the single wing to the T-Formation without a hitch. His coaching assignments include 5 years with Hardin-Simmons and 2 years with the New York Titans.
