Marcus Allen holds the major-college record for most yards rushing in one season, gaining 2,342 for Southern California in 1981.
Allen picked up 200 or more yards in a record five consecutive games and finished the year with eight 200-plus performances (another mark). And the Trojan standout averaged 5.8 yards per carry and 212.9 yards rushing per game.
