Stan musial is insulted by his son
On May 2, 1954, Hall-of-Famer Stan Musial had the most awesome batting day ever achieved by a major-league player. In a doubleheader against the New York Giants, he walloped five home runs. It was the most ever hit by a big-league batter in a single day of major-league baseball.
When the happy Stan Musial returned to the clubhouse, following his fantastic hitting feat, to receive the acclaim that was due him, the first to greet him was his twelve-year-old son, with the comment: "Gee, Dad, that's some crummy pitching staff the Giants have to let you hit five homers."
