George Washington gambling history
George Washington, the first President of the United States, was fond of horses. He raised them, bred them, and raced them. He also lost with them -and a lot of money went with them.
One day, in his infinite wisdom, George Washington decided he had enough. He sold his horses and vowed that he would never make another bet on a race.
You may be sure that George Washington kept his word and never again bet on a horse race. In fact, he reformed himself to the point where he not only stopped raising thoroughbred horses, but turned his attention to a different field of breeding altogether -he started raising MULES!
