Who won the men's 2005 French Open
Rafael Nadal did what many didn't expect him to do. The teenager won the 2005 French Open over Mariano Puerta 6-7 (6), 6-3, 6-1, 7-5.
Rafael Nadal turned 19 last week was amazed at his win. He never gave up:
"I fight every ball. When I have problems in the match, I fight, I fight, I fight every game.''
Mariano Puerta said:
"He brought out the best in me. I lost to an excellent player. He's the best player in the world."
Rafael Nadal wins $1,082,40 for winning the 2005 men's French open.
Mariano Puerta wins $541,200 for coming in second.
