Marion Jones Cleared to Run .. Last Place to Follow

Marion Jones was cleared to run in the FBK Games in Hengelo, Netherlands. She'll be running in the 100 meters.

Meet director Fedde Zwanenburg said:

"There's no reason to stop Marion Jones from participating in the FBK Games."

She is being paid for the appearance. Zwanenburg went on to say:

"No punishment can or should be given (to Jones) before the rules in question have actually been shown to have been broken. She is a fantastic athlete who will also bring us needed publicity."

Amazing. I guess a few more last place finishes will take away that publicity.
