Softball Injuries - Play related?
How would you like to play softball at a competitive level? You're juiced your team is juiced and the a softball injury. You don't always think softball causes injuries, but there are softball injuries. Yesterday's softball injuries happened to the University of Texas' women's softball team.
Did the softball injury happen on the field? Did the softball injury happen in the batter's box?
No.
It happened in the dugout.
The softball injury was caused by their dugout. Yes, a softball injury caused by a dugout at McCombs Field.
The players were standing on the bench inside the dugout when the softball injury happened. The wall in the dugout collapsed and five players limped away with softball injuries:
- Junior Tina Boutelle (Katy, Texas), 20, suffered a right ankle sprain and has contusions and abrasions to her lower right leg.
- Senior Amy Bradford (Lufkin, Texas), 22, suffered a right ankle sprain and has contusions and abrasions to her lower right leg.
- Senior Alexis Garcia (Covina, Calif.), 21, suffered a left ankle sprain.
- Freshman Desiree Williams (Tucson, Ariz.), 19, suffered a right ankle sprain and has contusions and abrasions to her upper and lower right leg.
- Junior Amber Hall (Deer Park, Texas), 21, was treated at the field for a contusion to her left calf.
I guess in terms of softball injuries this one must take the cake.
